Full Time Positions

  • Basketball Scout and Digital Content ProducerAnaheim, CA

    Position Summary

    We are currently hiring basketball scouts and digital content creators for the largest youth basketball event operator in the Western United States, please apply!

    The scout and content producers will be leading our efforts to create two new media brands to service the club and scholastic basketball landscape in Southern California and across the Western US.

    The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of basketball, strong communication skills, and the ability to create compelling multimedia content. Those who are experienced in talent evaluation and have the ability to produce player and team write-ups in addition to other digital and written basketball content are preferred. Candidates who meet some or most of the listed qualifications below are encouraged to apply.

    Job Description

    • Attend basketball games, tournaments, and events to identify potential talent.
    • Compile detailed scouting reports on prospects, including strengths, weaknesses, and overall potential.
    • Develop engaging written content such as articles, blog posts, and social media posts related to basketball.
    • Create multimedia content including videos, graphics, and podcasts to showcase players, teams, and basketball-related topics.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and basketball news to generate relevant and timely content.
    • Work closely with the marketing team to align content creation efforts with organizational goals and initiatives.
    • Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and other content creators to produce high-quality multimedia content.
    • Build and maintain relationships with players, coaches, and other stakeholders within the basketball community.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Previous experience in basketball scouting, coaching, or player development.
    • Ability to work nights and weekends and travel on occasion
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create compelling content.

  • Social Media DirectorAnaheim, CA

    Position Summary

    We’re on the lookout for an experienced Social Media Director at a senior level to spearhead creative content initiatives across our 12 brands. The ideal candidate should possess a solid grasp of basketball, along with robust communication, social media, and leadership skills. This role entails close collaboration with various cross-functional leads, including the CMO, Digital Media, Creative, and Marketing teams.

    Job Description

    • Manage OGP and OGP’s sub brands social media strategy daily with a proactive approach, constantly engaging current trends, basketball influencers, websites, athletes and the NBA.
    • Supervise the social content calendar and coordinate tasks with team members to align with our social vision.
    • Stay updated on basketball trends and competitor activities to generate fresh ideas.
    • Take charge of social media experiments, exploring new trends, scripting videos, conducting live-streams, or innovating fresh video formats to consistently engage our audience.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to allocate budgets effectively, ensuring campaign objectives’ key performance indicators (KPIs) are met, such as Click-Through Rates and Return on Ad Spend.
    • Analyze data to optimize campaigns and identify new opportunities for increasing followers, views, likes, and revenue.
    • Oversee social media output during events, including pre-event promotion and post-event recaps.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
    • Extensive experience in social media management, preferably 3+ years at a mid-senior level overseeing a social media team.
    • Familiarity with various social media platforms and their metrics, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
    • Proficiency in Metricool or similar scheduling apps for all social media platforms, and experience with HubSpot or similar CRM systems.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.

    • Availability to work weekends, as we conduct over 100 events annually (required two weekends per month).

  • Manager, Copywriter / Content & PRAnaheim, CA

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    We are looking for a full-time Copywriter / Content and PR Manager to join our Marketing team. Our ideal candidate will be able to work in-house aside our Marketing and Sales team & help create short-form copy across our marketing channels in order to increase website traffic, user engagement, and brand awareness. This team member will be working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and should be open to working weekend events.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage all copy on our website, print marketing materials, email blasts, campaigns and ads
    • Manage and write blogs for all brands
    • Assist with paid social advertising, sales promotion and CTA’s
    • Create press releases
    • Lead storytelling with creative director, videographers, photographers and marketing team
    • Working alongside the Social Media Manager on keeping consistent verbiage across social and marketing channels
    • Collaborate with our Development team on SEO practices
    • Reporting to all department leaders on the best copy for each of our products
    • Brainstorm with the Marketing team on creative content/copy

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Understanding of SEO best practices, including keyword usage
    • Some social media experience
    • Strong knowledge of basketball (preferred, not required)
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum 1-2 years of social media experience for a brand (preferred, not required)

Part Time Positions

  • Event Staff

    Position Summary:

    • Assist event directors with executing various operational tasks at tournaments and camps
    • Assist with event registration and check-in
    • Ensure proper facility setup

    Qualifications:

    • Timely and detailed oriented
    • Must be available on weekends

    Educational Requirements:

    • High School Diploma required
  • Youth Basketball Coach

    Position Summary:

    • Provide high-quality, passionate and valuable instruction to players
    • Prepare and execute two (2) 90-minute practices weekly
    • Participate in a minimum of two (2) monthly tournaments
    • Submit written analysis of players as needed and communicate roster / team needs
    • Serve as a fill-in coach and skills trainer as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Current or former NCAA / NAIA collegiate athlete
    • Timely and detailed oriented
    • Strong communicator
    • Must be available on weekends
    • Own or access to a motorized vehicle

    Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • High School Diploma required
  • Basketball Coach

    Position Summary:

    • Provide high-quality, passionate and valuable instruction to players
    • Prepare and execute two (2) 90-minute practices weekly
    • Participate in a minimum of two (2) monthly tournaments
    • Submit written analysis of players as needed and communicate roster / team needs
    • Complete NCAA coach certification
    • Work in conjunction with the Director of College Placement Services to assist players with the college recruiting process

    Qualifications:

    • Current or former experience as high school or college coach
    • Expansive network with current college coaches preferred

    • Must be willing to travel and available on weekends

    Position Summary:

    • Assist tournament director with executing event operations and staffing
    • Ensure all game courts are properly setup and games start on-time
    • Assist tournament director with basic administrative tasks
    • Oversee the team awards distribution
