The OGP Travel Experience

Our OGP travel trips are built into each four month season in order to help build trust amongst teammates, improve communication and collaboration between coaches and players, as well as improving the teams on court chemistry. Our team bonding trips also lead to the increased family feel and overall team productivity, and ultimately boosts overall morale for the families in our program.

Why Do We Travel

  • To build team chemistry and camaraderie
  • Compete against new teams and different levels of competition 
  • Experience basketball in different environments
  • Make lasting memories in youth sports

When and How Much do we travel

  • Most teams travel once per four to six months (on average three to four times per year)
  • Stronger teams typically travel a bit more, especially in the spring and summer
  • More developmental teams typically do not travel in the fall season
  • We do our best to meet the general needs and interests of the families on each team

What does it entail

  • Location Program Manager will communicate the team travel plans at the start of the season
  • A group hotel block will be shared to encourage families to stay together
  • Families are on their own to coordinate all transportation
  • Managers and coaches will work together to try to arrange team meals and bonding activities
